BCCI has announced team India for T-20I and ODI series at home against Australia. Kohli, who was rested for the last 2 ODIs and T20i series of the New Zealand tour, will lead the team against Australia, as the series starts on Feb 24th and 27th, and 5 ODIs from March 2nd to 13th.
Dinesh Karthik has not picked for this Australia series, he had been a part of India's limited-overs squads since the England tour last year and after this announcement, there is a question mark about his selection in the world cup. Punjab legspinner Mayank Markande has been included as a back-up spinner in the T20I squad after the selectors were impressed with his form against the England Lions.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is part of the T20I team, has been rested for the T-20 series and first two ODIs and in his place, Siddarth Kaul has been picked. Ravindra Jadeja and Khaleel Ahmed are not featured in the home series against Australia. Tamil Nadu allrounder Vijay Shankar, who made his ODI debut in Melbourne in January is included in both squads.
Ahead Jasprit Bumhar is selected for both T-20 and ODI series and Umesh Yadav is selected only for T-20.
